📋 Executive Summary

This Privacy Policy governs the mobile application Bloatware Remover (No Root) (package: com.jeweality.bloatwareremover), developed and published by JEWEALITY.

Bloatware Remover is a utility designed to help Android users identify and uninstall pre-installed system bloatware and unwanted user apps safely without needing root privileges. We do not maintain any private user servers, databases, or analytics dashboards. Your files and installed application choices stay strictly on your smartphone.

Key Commitment at a Glance

We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, location, photos, contacts, device serial numbers, or browsing histories. Everything happens directly inside your device's memory.

🚫 Data We Do NOT Collect

To eliminate ambiguity, JEWEALITY explicitly confirms that Bloatware Remover does NOT collect, read, store, or transmit any of the following categories of information:

  • Personal Identifiers: Your real name, postal address, phone number, email address, or social security numbers.
  • Location Data: Neither precise GPS coordinates nor coarse network location are requested or accessed.
  • Personal Media: Photos, videos, audio recordings, or personal camera access.
  • Communication & Social: SMS messages, call logs, contacts, calendar entries, or social media accounts.
  • Financial & Payment Data: Credit cards, bank information, or transactional records.
  • Biometrics & Health: Fingerprint data, facial recognition records, or health telemetry.

⚙️ Information Processed Locally on Your Device

To fulfill its core utility functions, the application requires access to certain Android OS APIs. All processing occurs strictly within the local Android OS sandbox on your device:

Permission / API Purpose Storage Location Transmission
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES Scans installed packages to identify system bloatware and user apps to calculate size and safety badges. RAM / Local Room DB None (0%)
Shizuku API_V23 Executes package uninstallation and restoration commands via Shizuku shell bridge without root. Android Binder IPC None (0%)
DataStore Preferences Saves user settings (e.g. show system apps first, confirm before uninstall, auto-clean period). Private App Storage None (0%)

Safety Classification System: The app utilizes an offline reference catalog to tag packages as Safe, Caution, Dangerous, or Protected. This database is embedded in the APK and does not require an active internet connection to evaluate apps.

⚡ Shizuku Privilege Bridge & Safety

Bloatware Remover leverages the open-source Shizuku framework (developed by Rikka) to execute elevated commands without compromising Android system integrity:

  • User Consent: Shizuku permission must be explicitly authorized by you in the Shizuku app. Bloatware Remover cannot access elevated privileges without your active consent.
  • Standard Package Manager Commands: Commands run by the app are equivalent to standard Android shell operations:
    • System app removal: pm uninstall -k --user 0 <package> (uninstalls for current user while preserving OS factory image).
    • System app restoration: cmd package install-existing <package>.
  • Revocability: You may revoke Bloatware Remover’s Shizuku authorization at any time by toggling it off within the Shizuku application.
  • Protected Apps: Crucial system packages (such as Android System, SystemUI, Settings, Play Services, and Shizuku itself) are hard-coded as Protected to prevent accidental system breakage.

♻️ Recycle Bin & Local Backup Architecture

When you uninstall an app through Bloatware Remover, it is moved to the built-in Recycle Bin rather than being irrecoverably lost:

• User Applications: The APK file is backed up to your device’s private internal storage directory before removal, allowing 1-tap re-installation.
• System Applications: The package name and state are recorded in your local Room database so they can be re-enabled via install-existing.
• Automatic Cleaning: You can configure the Recycle Bin to automatically purge APK backups older than 30, 60, or 90 days, or empty the bin manually at any moment to instantly free up disk space.

Important Note Regarding User App Data

While the APK file is safely preserved in the Recycle Bin, Android OS security policies wipe app-private data and caches upon uninstallation. Restoring an application restores the app binary, but previous login states or local app caches cannot be recovered.

📢 Advertising & Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)

Bloatware Remover is offered free of charge. To support development and maintenance, the application displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK).

Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers and device telemetry in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance:

  • Google Advertising ID (GAID / AAID)
  • IP address (used to infer general country/city level location)
  • Diagnostic metrics (ad load latency, crash logs, render errors)
Official Publisher ID: pub-9831459193159283

Authorized Digital Sellers: We maintain a public app-ads.txt verification file hosted on this domain in compliance with IAB Tech Lab standards:

How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising:
You can manage or disable personalized advertising at any time on your Android smartphone by navigating to:
Settings > Privacy > Ads > Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
For more information, please review the Google Privacy Policy and Google Advertising Technologies Guide.

🔐 Data Security & Retention

We take your security seriously through strict defense-in-depth principles:

  • No Remote Databases: Because we operate no cloud infrastructure, there is zero risk of our servers suffering a breach that exposes your personal files.
  • Android Application Sandboxing: All local database entries (Room DB) and saved APK files are stored in protected internal storage inaccessible to other installed applications without root privileges.
  • Complete Data Erasure: When you clear Bloatware Remover's app storage in Android Settings or uninstall Bloatware Remover from your device, all local records, Recycle Bin files, and preferences are permanently deleted immediately.

👶 Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)

Bloatware Remover is a technical system utility intended for general audiences. It is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).

We do not knowingly solicit or collect any data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to third-party SDKs through our app, please contact us at contact.jeweality@gmail.com, and we will take immediate remedial action.

⚖️ User Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA & CalOPPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have certain rights under privacy laws like the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

  • Right to Know & Access: You have the right to know what data is processed. All processed data is already visible on your device screen (your app list and recycle bin).
  • Right to Deletion: You can delete all application data at any time via Android Settings > Apps > Bloatware Remover > Clear Storage.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal data. We have never sold user data and will never do so in the future.
  • Non-Discrimination: Exercising any of your privacy rights will never result in degraded functionality or denial of service.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Does Bloatware Remover send my installed apps list to a server? ▼
No. Your installed applications are queried solely on-device via the Android system API to render the local user interface. No package names, lists, or usage statistics are transmitted anywhere.
Can uninstalling a system app brick my smartphone? ▼
Bloatware Remover marks system-critical packages as Protected to prevent uninstallation. When uninstalled via Shizuku, packages are removed for user 0 (the current user). The underlying Android OS partition remains unmodified, meaning a standard factory reset will always restore factory state if ever needed.
How can I completely delete all app data? ▼
Simply go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Bloatware Remover > Storage & Cache > Clear Storage, or uninstall the app. All local database records and Recycle Bin backups will be permanently purged.
